Belinda wanted to learn to snowboard this year, so i have been taking her as much as possible and she is now making both frontside and backside turns well. This photo was taken at Crotched mountain a week or two ago on the chairlift.

Beefie has been having a lot of fun chasing me on the sled this year and everyone says she looks like she is in great shape because of it. Maybe i should start chasing sleds too...

It seems she may have showed up today... As i look out my window the flakes are flyin'! It's hard to believe, but last Saturday January 13TH... I played 18 holes of golf then went snowboarding all afternoon and into the night. That's a first for me in New Hampshire. I did it in California when i lived on Lake Tahoe, but Reno is only 40 minutes down the Mt. Rose highway, so you could do it anytime. Anyway...It was real cool, and i totally enjoyed it but now let's all THINK SNOW! When you get home tonight, get a friend or your kids or your dogs, and go out in the yard and do the world a little snow dance... It will be fun! You all will enjoy it and it will give off a good vibe, so go shake those tail-feathers!

Last ride of the Season

Well, here are the last snowmobiling pictures of the season... :-( My good friend Bruce and i went up to Pittsburg for the weekend and got the last of the good snow and had a blast! Those Pittsburg Ridge-runners do a great job with their trails and we thank them for their hard work! This top picture is in front of the Canadian Boarder at the top of Trail 5, Then it's the Switchback on the 3rd Connecticut lake, here's an excited Bruce on the trail up to this "secret spot" and the final picture is me grabbin' some throttle on my favorite "Toy"...It has been a strange season...not much snow, but i still ended up getting just under 800 miles on this winter. Thanks to all my friends who rode with me this year...I look forward to December '06! Have a Great Summer!

Bilin' in The Burg!

My buddy Dave Mac and i decided to head up to Pittsburgh, NH last weekend and get some snowmobiling in before the spring melted away what little snow is left in the Northeast...the only thing that could have stopped us was if Morgan (his 6 years-young daughter) didn't want to go...but that's not Morgan's style. So we called the Lopstick Cabins and sure enough they had a "cabin" for us...we later realized it was a beautiful 3-bedroom house over-looking the First Conneticut Lake! It was so nice! Morgan ran inside, laid back in her chair and exclaimed..."(Gasp!)...This is the life!" We almost hit the floor laughing...Anyhoo, the trip was Awesome! The Pittsburg Ridgerunners did such a good job on their trails...as always! Thanks to all the guys/girls up there who work so hard for our enjoyment! We rode over 110 miles on Sunday and ate breakfast and lunch at places right on the trail. Morgan couldn't have been more fun to ride with. Dave is always a blast to hang with...This is the Life!

I just have to start by saying how much i enjoy riding with my brother and Max! They are the kind of friends that when you call and ask them to do something the only answer is "When and Where?" and ya' just gotta' love friends like that...The conditions by most peoples standards were "icy" and "too hard to ride", but then again most people are Pussies! It was F**KING Great! David, Max and i had so much fun yesterday using all the "Mass-Holes" as slalom gates...(sorry kid) Loon mountain never ceases to impress me with it's Super-fast terrain and tight steep corners...These conditions really separate the boys from the men! It's like one big Boarder-Cross!! There aren't any action shots cause we were just bombing the mountain all day...no time to take pics...but when we did stop for RTM we caught a few good pics...here are some of them...

Here's an early look at the 07 RMK...At the bottom is the link to where i found it too...with specs. I like it...they kept the Switchback/RMK "look" accept for the new tunnel design and the flame graphics(love'em!) It's 25lbs lighter than this years model!!I don't think i like the fixed bars though and After having the option of different positions, many other riders will probably not like it either... In Memory of Josh Russell

I just wanted to take a moment and remember a GREAT friend...Josh Russell passed away on this day two years ago in a tragic snowmobile accident, and not a day has gone by since then that i have not thought of Josh and his smile. He was so special to all who knew him and he will never be forgotten.
I see him everyday when i pass the stonework he did, or a landscape he worked . I was lucky enough to have worked on a few jobs with Josh, and those times will stay with me forever. Very few people i've worked with have had a work ethic like Josh's...He was so meticulous and thoughtful of every stone he placed and when his job was finished, it truly was a work of art. Switchbacks

We rode 170 miles on Saturday and saw nothin' but "Canadian Cock-Roaches" (Ski Don'ts) and Arctic Cats...a few Fusions here and there, but no other Switchbacks! Sunday we decided to change that...There were four Switchbacks in our group, oh and Tim was on "The Red Rooster", Bill Jr's old Fusion 900. We had last year's mid-season Switchback, "Big" Bill's FST, and Bill jr. and I on our 'o6 600's. They all ripped!!! We were going 100mph+ across Moosehead lake..."Big" Bill beat us all on his FST!

This is a place Northwest of Moosehead lake called Pittston Farm and what a place it is! It's like stepping back in time up in this area of Maine! It's a beautiful old farmhouse that serves up great food in their old dining room, or you can go sit on the porch and watch the sleds pull in. That's Billy again in this pic.
